General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Lake County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs the restoration work
Hammond Water Damage Restoration is a call line that connects callers with an independent local water-damage company. It answers calls and online requests and passes each one on. It does not extract water, dry buildings, assess damage or carry out repairs.
The independent local company that performs the work holds the permissions, the licences and registrations the job calls for, and the insurance that goes with them. That obligation is the company's, and this website does not hold, audit or vouch for any of those credentials.
Ask the company for its licence and registration numbers before work begins, and check them with the office that issues each one. Questions about what a policy pays belong with your own insurer.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Indiana is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
